Francesco A. LoPreiato of Stamford passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday November 9, 2018. Frank was born in Arena, Italy on November 16, 1942 to the late Filippo and Maria Franze LoPreiato. Frank emigrated to the United States in 1958. Frank was the loving husband of Ida Ferrante LoPreiato.
A tailor by trade, Frank had a loyal customer base at his shop -Franks Continental Tailoring service in Norwalk. An avid reader of National geographic since 1974, Frank had many other hobbies from coin collecting to drawing to ballroom dancing to watching wrestling. However, his greatest joy was his family.
In addition, for his loving wife Ida of 34 years, he is survived by his children Maria (David) Costanzo & Filippo LoPreiato. (Safiya Elkady – Fiancé). Frank also leaves his father and mother-in-law Antonio & Lina Ferrante. Predeceased by his brother Domenico & sisters Angelina LoPreiato.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 14 at 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave, Riverside CT. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery in Norwalk. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday evening at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Rd. #3, Greenwich, CT 06830. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital.
