Chiappetta, Dominick Jr. passed away on January 20, 2017 in Waterford, CT. He was born on January 5, 1919 to Dominick and Clementina Chiappetta in Greenwich, CT. Dominick attended Cos Cob School and then entered the US Army during WWII. He served in the military police in Europe from 1943-1945. Dominick was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth Josephine (nee Doran) in 1984. He is survived by his son Richard Chiappetta and his wife Sue Curtis, his daughter Claire Ann Marie Dankel - Sollazzo (Frank P Sollazzo Jr), and his grandson Colin Chiappetta, and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his siblings William, Mary, Sylvid, Margaret, Lawrence, Carmelina, Frank, Rose, and Patrick. Dominick worked at Yale & Towne in Stamford, he was in the sanitation business with Anthony Laudonia for many years, then worked as a landscaper. Dominick was an active member of the St. Lawrence Society of Cos Cob, the VFW of Cos Cob, and the Mianus River Boat and Yacht Club. He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Rd #3, Greenwich, CT. A service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 399 North Street, Greenwich, CT.
