Lorraine Weiss Nelson, passed from this life and began her new life with God on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the Regional Hospice Center of Danbury, CT. Lorraine was born on May 26, 1953 in Port Chester, NY to Alfred and Phyllis Weiss. She attended Greenwich Public Schools and was a graduate of Greenwich High School class of 1972. She was married on September 8, 1979 to Roger Nelson and resided in New Fairfield, CT. She is survived by her husband Roger Nelson of 37 years, her sons, Roger Nelson, Jr. (Ashley), Ryan Nelson (Ashley), her mother Phyllis Weiss, Uncle Albert Farish, Brothers David and Alan, sisters Audrey, Arlene and Lynn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and too many friends to mention. She enjoyed dancing, knitting, and especially spending time with her grandchildren Grace, Roger 3rd, Riley, and Ryan, Jr, She was a devoted member of the New Life United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering and helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred. Visitation will be on Thursday March 9, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Rd. #3, Greenwich. Memorial Service to take place at New Life United Methodist Church, 1 Beaver Bog Rd., New Fairfield, CT on Sunday March 12, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. Family requests memorials to be made to the Cancer Society of your choice.
