Rosalie Catherine Finocchio, also known as “RoRo”, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, CT passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 3, 2017.
She was born on February 24, 1943 to Frank P. DeLuca and Louise Tesei. She attended Greenwich High School where she met her husband of 53 years, Douglas Finocchio.
Her early profession led her to her true calling. For more than 30 years, she touched the lives of many children and families as a childcare provider. She considered each and every child she cared for, as her own.
She was a faithful Christian who served at Harvest Time Church for nearly 30 years. Harvest Time was not only her place of worship, but her family as well. She volunteered in many different church activities and ministries. She instilled the love of Jesus to everyone she met.
Rosalie’s legacy lives on through her two children, son Douglas Finocchio Jr. and wife Jill, and daughter Deanna Pelle and husband Nicola Pelle, her four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Nicole, Stacy, and Sofia, all of Greenwich, CT.
Her favorite past times included cooking, baking, gardening, reading, and taking long walks at Tod’s Point. She adored spending time with her family, especially her four granddaughters, whom she loved so much, and always went above and beyond to uphold the family traditions.
She is survived by her brother Lawrence DeLuca and wife Pat, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Rosalie filled everyone’s life with love, laughter, and comfort. Her sweet voice and heartwarming smile will live on forever.
